Here is a screen shot of what I see when I click on your link to view your video. If I right click in the black area, I get the Flash panel you see in my screen shot. After that, I can do nothing with either your video or the Flash panel. I have to reload the page to get rid of the Flash panel. Once the page is reloaded, I can click close above the black screen, and I get the page with the thumbnails for your videos. If I click on any of those, I end up with the black screen again.

After all of that, hovering over the thumbnail gives one the option to open with QuickTime or save to disk. If I choose open with QuickTime, I get a download box, and it takes a good 5 minutes before I get the QuickTime screen, and am able to view the video. I checked my settings in QuickTime, and all looked fine. I even upgraded to the current version of QuickTime, then removed all cookies and cache, and tried again, only to get the black screen. No video. I have no clue as to why this is happening. I had no trouble viewing your first two videos 3 or so weeks ago. I’m beginning to suspect some piece of software, (and I suspect which piece of software), changed some of my settings in my computer. This is probably going to affect every single QuickTime video I watch, so I’m going to have to resolve this. Most likely, thru a computer forum. I’ll ask the question without posting the link to your video, but if it turns out to be something with Smugmug, I may need to post a link to one of your videos. Let me know if that is not ok.

Great videos, and the coffee shop displays are impressive. Have you cut all those mats since you bought your Logan?

Only comment I have is one that has already been mentioned, and that is hanging photos on top of or below that molding that runs along the center of the walls. If it were me, I would either keep all photos above the molding, or remove the molding altogether.

Gary, I'm glad it looks like you are getting somewhere with the issue atleast. I don't no why it is defaulting to a flash player when it comes up as a quick time on mine? very strange, but feel free to link to the videos if you need to

As far as the molding goes, I here ya! It does divide the room as well as the colors above and below. I could make adjustments on the cables and just have the pics above and below and not actually over the molding? This way only the cable goes over the molding and it is visible around the room? If I take the molding down, I will need to re-paint, and I have way to many picture's to not utilize the whole wall What to do??

Thanks a lot for your thoughts and suggestions!!

Best,
Jay

Jay - It looks great!

Your white set up is exactly what I want, but I've wondered about those bifold doors and kids. Are you at all worried about them falling over on kids when they are hoping all around?

Jay,
Nice studio and Gallery. I like how you did the pictures with the wires. The only suggestion I have it to put the u-Bolts behind the top picture so that it is hidden. Not a big deal it is not ugly I just think it might look better. The way you did it worked out to be cheap too.

If you wanted to add more prints you could use the same wire system but use two wires and put it in the middle of the room. For example attach two wires (They have ceiling grid hangers available at Lowes) about 12" apart to the ceiling grid. Then attach the bottom of the wires to the floor with a simple screw. Hang pictures on both sides. You can make like four of these. People would be able to walk around them. You would probable want the frames on each hanger to be the same size. It is hard to explain. If you don't get what I am talking about I will make a diagram tomorrow.

Good Luck with the business.

Jordan

Thanks for checking out the videos guys

Athena, Believe it or not the doors are pretty stable when there open at a 90 degree angle like that, but I am still a little concerned. The little girl from the other day bumped into them a few times and it wasn't an issue at all!!

Jordan, That is an AWESOME idea!!! I am definitely going to do that and I totally understand what your saying The only thing I don't get is the grid hanger? does that attach to the drop ceiling rails? If so I don't think it will be strong enough, but I can go to the Beams above the drop ceiling

Thank again!

Jay
