It looks good. One thing to consider when creating a logo is -- how will it look in black and white? Assuming you will want to use it for printed media such as newspaper ads it is important to make sure it will not look muddy and indistinct when reproduced under less than ideal circumstances. Perhaps you can create a second version just for these situations making sure there is enough contrast between the various components of the logo.

My personal take on it is that I like it but feel it would
be much better without the swirly design element behind the initials. Something that is simple, clear and uncluttered, memorable if possible and easy to print or use in black/white if necessary might suit you better in the long run. When I do my logo those are things I'll be considering, anyway... |

I can appreciate the elegance of it as it is now but you asked for opinions and mine is just one that thinks simpler is better. I actually can't even think of any good ones that aren't simple, although there may be some from way back... It is pretty interesting to look at the top 250 rated logos... Agreed. With one additional thought not mentioned yet: business cards. Bcards are small, and this logo with its intricate patterns, when printed small on a bcard, may appear too busy, too complex. Not to mention the name on the bottom edge of the logo which on a monitor is small, but on a bcard may be almost unreadable except with the use of a magnifying glass.

while nice i have to agree about the simplicity. with all that going on i would think you are a tattoo artist or something. it doesnt help your logo portray that you are a photographer. not that you have to have a lense in there but i would take out the swirlies and maybe just use them on my website where they can be more appreciated.
