Default Adding a signature to your photograph

How do you add a signature to your photograph without having the signature distract from the picture itself? I know there must be many ways, and whichever way I end up with, I'd like for it to be easy to apply to future photos.

I think the easiest way is to produce the signature you want, either by using fonts or scanning in your actual signature, then make a brush of that image and save it as a custom brush. You can then use it on any image by selecting the brust tool and locating that brush (should be all the way at the bottom of the list of brushes), selecting color and size and location prior to committing it. If you place it on it's own layer, you can adjust it with the move tool and/or the free-transform tool and alter the opacity.

Wow, I clearly have more to learn. I never knew you could do this with the "brush." I never use the brush, frankly.

You never use the brush?!

How do you mask in Photoshop without using the brush, I know it can be done using other methods but the brush is such a powerful tool...

He doesn't use the brush because I read somewhere where he said he was OLD and incapable of learning all the cool stuf

He can probably mask out a great pic with a lead pencil and a Big Chief tablet though

I applied this brush techique and I applied the out of frame techique (in the hall of fame board), great info for people to try out. I also posted this in the hall of fame board.
