Default Pimping the Web

One of the best tools we have to get noticed is the web.

The first step is naturally, the photography website, but are you also capitalizing on all the other FREE web bonuses?

For instance, type in the type of photography you want to sell into a search engine. There are bound to be tons of "link back" site which are free publications for your own company.

Don't have a blog? Get one! Another freebie that can bring you lots of potential buyers, including publications. It also bumps you higher on the search engines image list if you use the proper tag lines.

How about Metadata for your images and sites? Load those images and sites up with every term you can think of that is relevant to the shots you want noticed.

Facebook and Myspace are free, and great for networking and getting your stuff noticed! Took a killer photo of a bird? Find a Birding Facebook sight, and post your image directly in the sites photo section.

Advertising with a non budget when you first start out? No problem. Craig's list. Don't forget, for a few pennies, you also have E-Bay to sell those photos and sessions. Or for specific leads, try Respond.com. You buy only the leads YOU want, in the paramiters YOU set.

Pimp the web. Be seen EVERYWHERE. Most of it is 100 percent free.
