Call for Entries! Deadline 15th Nov 2005

We intend to call entries from photographers all over the
world. We will select twelve unique
entries of art, which would be exhibited in Waves Art
Gallery and thereby be printed into 'Project Calendar 2006'

The twelve selected entries would be awarded. Awards worth
indian rupees 50000/-.

BUT i really like your T&C's:

"Terms & Conditions Any decision taken by the jury and the organizer would be final.
The organizers hold all rights to postpone, cancel and or make any changes in the prize money, dates of the entire event.
Any amount of entry fee is non refundable, even in case of forms that are not complete or not accepted for any reason whatsoever.
Any wrong or forged information provided will result in barring from participations. "

There use to be a number of photo contests like this here in the US. The people holding the contest got all rights to use your pictures for any purpose they wanted to with no compensation. These people were selling stock photos and this is how they got their pictures to sell.

Then there is the infamous book... you submitted your images and if they were selected, your images were published in a coffee table book. And of course you, your family and all your friends were able to buy the book for a special price of $50 or something like that.

This is one advantage of the internet, there is usually someone, somewhere that can warn people about things like this before they fall for them.

And should this turn out to be a perfectly legitimate scam, I wish them luck too.
