Default Question about model portfolios..

Hello everyone

My brother wants me to help him build his portfolio and I was wondering if there were any new trends in model portfolios. We have seen people with small 5x7 albums or just using comp cards. He wants to use a 8x10 black folio but doesn't want to seem dated or out of style. Are these still being used? Is there a new format currently being used when showing your portfolio?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there's anything wrong with an 8x10. Personally if i was booking a model i would like to see the pictures in a decent size and would like to see more than just one picture. I think the classics never go out of style. he should definitely stick with an 8x10 portfolio.

8x10 is awesome. Some models are bold enough to use larger ones also.

Yeah, I agree. We have settled on a 8x10 portfolio. I personally think it works better.

The industry standard is 9x12

find out what the agencies in your market require and do that.
5x7 or 8x10 most likely won't cut the mustard with any legit agencies
