Hang around. Learn from the pros here. Post some of your pics in the forum, and read some threads. You can do anything with the right knowledge!

I looked. Yes. The site was too slow for me and I lost interest. Post what you think is your best here, and then let us critique.

Pretty neat, I think. Can you sell them? That's a tough one. I think there's a buyer for many things. The trick is in finding him/her. That a subject deserving of another thread altogether.

Check out this thread:

Maybe someone else will pipe in.

Recently while in San Francisco I popped into a small startup gallery. While they did not have photos I was shocked at some of the stuff they did have. Hanging on the walls were small 10x12 pieces of art at $1200.00 to $1500.00 dollars. I tried my best to see some value of art in these but failed. Someone must purchase these.

To answer you question, yes someone will buy them. For myself I find your images to be somewhat dark for my taste. The personal favorite was better.

I find a good way to improve skills is to view images, more images and still more. When you see an image that makes you go “WOW” try to discover what it is about the image that made you have that reaction. The way the photographer composed the image, color, lighting, subject matter, special treatment or effects. There are a number of places on the web that will allow you to view as a guest. www.pbase.com is one of them with 25 million images on line for your viewing pleasure. On the home page look for the “Popular Galleries” feature. This will lead you to fantastic images.

I have started submitting images to a fairly new image library . What I have learned is that people don't always want to buy a "perfect" picture . Many advertisers also want a place they can put writing or something else . You never know what wacky ideas they may have for an ad . My advice , if you have a 6 meg camera or higher , is to approach a fewe image libraries , send them some samples [ they normally want aboput 50 on a disc ] and the worst that ca happen is that they say no . Once you have joined one of them send your favourites plus a few that vary a bit for whatever purpose they may want them for . If you don't throw your line in definitely won't catch any fish , if you do the worst that can happen is that you lose your bait , but you could also land the big one .....
