Texture Paper

Can anyone tell me the advantage to printing with textured paper? why would you do this & when would you do this?

Besides the esthetics, I think it also prevents people from etting a high quality scans made. Good for when you sell prints to make a profit. I might be wrong on this but I recall reading this debate somewhere before.

so then you would only do this for small prints or proofs? Normally not on large prints?

Not necessarily. Textured prints have their appeal visually as well but if you were to give 'em out as proofs, then I would definitely have them textured.
