I just got my cards from morningprint, shipped from Korea. I guess I understand why the shipping was half the cost of the cards. That was literally a few days from the time I ordered to the DHL guy dropping them off. They were on economy paper, but the look and finish is pretty good, with 14pt paper and a nice matte, silky-feeling finish. They had a colorful design, but exact color wasn't critical. Still, color is fine for the CMYK conversion they did (I think I sent an RGB file proofed for CMYK instead of the actual CMYK I had created -- whoops). While I wasn't worried about perfect colors, they seem to be good nonetheless. The blacks aren't as black as I could have made them if I sent the CMYK file, but that was my fault, and ONLY a photographer, printer, or graphic designer would notice. The trim line was exactly where it should be (exact in one direction and literally within a couple pixels in the other, and when you're at 300 dpi with a knife, that's within my definition of exact), and they're well centered and colors are aligned. I see no fringing, which means the colors were aligned to the pixel. So the total cost including shipping for 4-color front/bw back was about $42 for 500 on heavy 14pt/matte paper. $28 for the cards, and $14 for shipping, and I'm happy with them. At this point, I recommend morningprint.com for business cards. I suspect their quality will be consistent across all their cards, and they carry plastic cards. |

Can beat that! The one I suggested http://www.gotprint.com can do 500 cards, 2"x3x5", 14pt premium uncoated, colour both sides for...... $14.80 plus shipping. Their creation & delivery takes a couple of weeks but the quality was really good. Im in the UK and even with shipping 250 of the above cost me £10.72 ($17.29 at current rate) Quality is by far one of the better that I have ordered. They also do a 100 qty order if you want to make a test purchase. |

I have to add one more recommendation for GotPrint. I use them for a ton of stuff for myself and my design clients and I have yet to be disappointed. Their pricing is amazing (about $26 for 1,000 business cards shipped in the USA) and their turn-around time seems more than reasonable.
If you're still looking for plastic, try plasticprinters.com. I got a quote from them a while back for a client (wow plastic cards are expensive!) and they email every so often just to check in, so I would imaging that their customer service is top notch! |

I'm a huge fan of overnightprints.com - 16 pt. card stock, free spot UV coating... And their customer service is pretty amazing - I've had some issues with several orders and they will send you a prepaid shipping label and refund without any hesitation.
Recently ordered 500 press printed postcards from them for something like $30, and the quality is amazing. The only thing I didn't like was their mini business cards. I got a small batch of 50 (digital printing) to use as tags, and got rounded corners. It seems that that was a mistake - the "rounded cut" was very uneven, and they are not very symmetrical. But hey, it cost me all of $5, so I didn't even bother with asking for a refund. And the folded greeting cards felt a tad flimsy, although the color and UV coating were lovely. Here's a picture of my packed up and ready to be donated to a silent auction gift card: ![]() __________________
