Greetings rudiment beasts. Is anyone selling their photographic art on ebay? If you have could you share any experience or suggestions.

I am considering opening an ebay store for aluminum/metal prints and perhaps some other products.

For me eBay takes to big a % for what they provide. Plus they double dip and get even more, because eBay also owns Paypal.

In the interest of actually answering the OP's question, I can state that one PhotoCamel members has an Etsy store for selling his prints. I have no idea if that's better or worse. I don't get the impression that prints ever sell particularly well online.

I've had some photo commerce in eBay. I find it works very well and I've always been satisfied with the price I got (even on no reserve auctions) and the entire process.

For those who find the fees excessive (I do not), you can always sell to various wholesalers such as KEH.
