Life on the Road

My husband and I are truck drivers, he's been at it for 11 years and I, for 5 yrs. In that time, I've been left in Wyoming,(Hubby and I left the truck within min of eachother and he had no idea that I wasn't in the truck, so I called him from the truck stop and asked if he would get his butt back there to pick up my butt , needless to say we have a signal now) I've also had one of my shoes thrown out in New Mexico (Hubby was taking out our new puppy and heard a thud but couldn't figure out what it was, but I figured it out the next morning when I only had one shoe in the truck and no extra pairs of shoes, needless to say I carry two pair with me now) and I keep getting pulled into weigh stations because I'm short and they can't always tell if someone is actually driving, so they make me come in. (I'm 5 ft and wear at least 3 inch heels so I can reach the pedals, we got ourselves a Prepass which allows us to bypass the weigh stations most of the time). I am a terrible backer so it takes me 20 mins to get into a parking spot, by then they can't remember who I am and they tell me to leave again.

Today we are sitting in Birmingham, Alabama, we delivered Grease to the theater in town. On Sunday we take the show to Norfolk, Virginia and then head to Harrisburg, Pa to pick up our Orchestra. We'll remain with the Orchestra while it travels the US, that will be for about 3 weeks.
