When saving graphics destined for the web, consider using the PNG format. Short for “portable network graphics,” PNG files are compressed to save space and transfer quickly over the internet. But they also use a compression format designed to preserve the quality of images more than other formats commonly used on the web. Most graphics applications today can save files in the PNG format. Check the File Type option when saving.
