I keep close track of who gets my e-mail addresses. In fact, I create e-mail addresses specifically to use with particular merchants so that I'll know if one of these merchants is responsible for compromising my privacy.

After making the mistake of purchasing something from drugstore.com, I started getting spam from all sorts of places, lots of pharma-related spam. I strongly suspect that drugstore.com either passed on my e-mail address or sold it to spammers. As a result, I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DRUGSTORE.COM AGAIN. I suggest you be very careful about doing business with this outfit.

Very interesting. I was going to place an order for vitamins with them, but I'm rethinking that decision. Usually I order through another website, but I wonder if that's why I get a lot of pharma-related spam. Thanks for posting.

I had the same thing happen to me but with Vista Printing. I had business cards printed for a little side photography business I had and Vista Print sold my contact info to other photography vendors. Now I get bull crap in the snail mail and email for the name I had on the card. I'll never order from them again. You just never know who to trust any more.

Vista Print is indeed annoying. I've fallen prey to them as well.

I am getting my revenge back on Vista print. Evertime I get junk mail that I know came from the Vista print leads I mail it back to them in their postage paid envlope and say someting like "who ever sold you your mail list sold you a load of crap because no such company exist".

Funny. It's an uphill battle, though.
