Default Digi Black and White

Maybe this would be better in the Nikon forum, I don't know. I really haven't tried working with the B&W setting on the D200 much yet. I've been a bit concerned, back from the days of the old D1 and its black and white option and how poor the results were then. Does anyone have any workflow/processing tips on the D200 settings? I seem to get good results simply converting from the color RGB image using channel mixer or going straight to grayscale in PS (v8.0 at home, v9.0 at work). How are the rest of you making black and white images from the color digital files, or are you?

Andrew

I would recommend doing it in post processing. I forgot the camera was set on B&W once and got some awesome fireworks photos in B&W. I was a tad bit mad at myself.
