Default Self Portrait in Macro, thru the glass darkly

2.8/100 Macro lens, F32/49 seconds. No flash fill.

It is the stem of a brandy snifter placed upside down in front of a mirror. The brandy snifter and me are reverse images as we are a reflection from the mirror coming back through the stem to the lens of the camera.

I am not done with this project as I am not happy with the background behind me and the brandy snifter. You can see the mirror wrap around, so in effect the stem turns into a fish eye capturing about 180 degrees side to side.

Believe it or not, this started of as the orange project, but I got hungry.

Comments please.

Honestly, I cannot remember anyone ever saying that word about anything I have done before.

I just don't know what to say to that.

Thank you.

It is a seriously cool idea and seriously well executed ... brilliant describes it perfectly.

(You're welcome, and thanks for the K)
