Flew from Hawaii to San Francisco when I was 5 years old. Remember sitting on the old canvas troop seats. These suckers were meant to fly.

Richard,
Beautiful shot of a beautiful airplane! It brings back fond memories of my first flight. It was in an Ozark Airlines DC-3, which I'm sure had the props badly out of balance. We were shakin' rattlin' & rollin' the whole way! Still, it was a wonderful experience. A jet aircraft is no where near as much fun! Thanks for the post. -Joe- |

One of my favorites to fly in flight simulator X. Have dreamt of flying one for real since the days of Terry and the Pirates.

Nice image. Tail draggers always have their nose pointed up at the sky, seemily eager to go at a moments notice.

That airplane is just ALIVE - it looks like it would jump right into the sky all on its own if you yelled at it! And I love the beautiful black and white tonality of your picture. Must be nice to have it hang on your study wall.
