I came up with the idea of the foil after opening my lunchbox and unwrapping my sanwiches this morning at work. I just love experimenting.

I think the first thing I have learned is to take a second look and sometimes have a re-think and also not to be affraid of experimenting. The other thing I have learned is to look about the house for every day items that I can use and how difficult glass can be, some thing I had never thought about before and thus haveing to work with manual settings and focus made the whole exersise so much fun.

This as been the best assignment that I have taken part in to date.

Yes glass is notoriously hard to photograph. If you want to learn more about lightening setups for thinks like metal and glass, please take a look at the book Light, Science and Magic by Fil Hunter and Paul Fuqua.

I think you should apply a levels command to make the blackbackground really black.

The slanted composition has it merits, but I needed to try a more rectangular setup to keep in sync with the original grabshot. Came up with this one, tell me if you like it:

Good comeback Thunder9, but then again you can achieve this edited image right in the camera (albeit very difficult with one hand ).

Must be confusing me with Thunder9 the contortionist guy. If you can imagine a gymnast and how bendy they are I am sort of at the other end of the scale. Think more along the lines of a brick.
