Default City Lights

I have not done B&W in a long time . . . I decided to after seeing some of the fine work displayed here. Feel free to C&C.

James,

That looks cool. I have not been into B&W in a long time either. That is all I would shoot when I used film. Now I have to get back into it again.

Nice work.

Thanks for the reply's . . . I had it printed at 12 X 18 and I was pleased. It seems like I can finally get something close to what I remember B&W looking like from the darkroom.
Anyone have a favorite B&W print place?

I read a while back in a photo-article about night-photography, that one should not go past a 1-second exposure (use a higher ISO film speed) so that your shutter speed is 1-second or less, as you lose color during long-exposures. Is there any truth to that?

I have herd something along those lines but it was more like 30 seconds if I remember correctly. This one was 15 seconds and the color was great.

Nice crisp image, James.
Not the easiest thing to pull off, a night time image in B&W, but I think you did well here.

Thanks Featherman. I liked it but a good C & C helps put it into perspective.
