I think you did a great job on this!! Nice conversion and composition!!

My only critique would be the object in the ocean being a tad crooked is a bit distracting to my for some reason. I'm sure there was nothing that could be done about, but figured I would share my thoughts

I made a crop from the horizon to the bottom of the image and clone the last reamins of the thing in the sea: if found it an even more powerfull image!

I kind of liked the breathing room at the top of the original. The crop with no sky is a bit claustrophobic to me. But that's just me.

i see what you mean Lee. Ive cloned out the 'construction', and left the sky in, and ordered a 30 x 20 print from photobox. I dunno if you guys know, but they have an offer on 'posters' for £5. If you want the offer code let me know, and ill post it.
