Thanks for the comments folks. I live about 30 miles from Sagamore Hill and we visit there frequently. We bring books
and relax while reading in the shade under one of TR's trees. Spring is an ideal time to visit as the colors are absolutely vivid.
I have a fairly large collection of TR photos and nearly three hours of original film converted to digital format. Most of these
films are now available to the public via the National Archives and the Library of Congress.

My wife's grandmother (who arrived from Scotland in 1907) worked as maid in the Roosevelt house for several years.
She has a pendant/pin given to her grandmother by TR when she left their employment to get married.

If you ever get to Long Island, try to fit a visit to Sagamore Hill into your schedule.
