Default Yorkshire Wolds in mono

This might look nice and sunny but it was damn cold sat on the ledge of a cliff a few hundred feet up.....

I like it, I am always drawn to the patterns in a landscape like this.

You're crazy to sit on the edge of cliffs to make photos, but the result looks good. I assume this was a green bias conversion, not IR.

To be honest Cedric i converted the image as normal but yes there was a lot of green. I assume your aimong at the trees in the foreground?? I think they went like that casue they were a bit yellow and lit from the low sun...??

As for being crazy sat on a ledge, yes i am and i will push myself to the likit to get a shot, i've done worse, i once sat on another ledge and had to lean out to take a shot of a mushroom.....i know....but it was worth it...!!!

Karl,

This is the type of image that really grabs me. The tonal range has the kind of feel that I used to work hard to get using a red filter with Pan-X and Plus-X film - a whole lot of years ago.

Very nice work and worth your effort.

Marc

Great patterns here, sitting on a cliff edge was worth the image.

I miss those days. I still have the better part of a bulk roll of Pan-X wrapped and frozen. It was the last roll available from my supplier in 1990 after Kodak stopped production.

Cheers Marc,

I agree with the filters in the old days, but now that we have the best of both worlds and have more scope working all the clours of the sepctrum to create better mono images....

Hi Karl,
nice image! Whereabouts were you when you took the shot? I live in East Yorkshire and have been trying to figure where it is!
Regards...

Thnx Tony,

OK. We parked the car below the white horse, wlaked up the VERY steep steps and just walked a short distance to the left at the top. I was perched on the cliffe edge below the runway where the gliders go from....if this helps??

The road that can be seen if looked carefully leads up Sutton Bank.....
