The bottom of Lake Aldwell, which has now been drained. It was clearcut before they put the dam up over 100 yrs ago. The Elwa River resoration project is one of the largest dam removals ever done. More info can be found here Elwha River Restoration - Olympic National Park
It has only been 6 months since the dams removal and already there is an amazing amount of new growth. And wild salmon have already been found upriver from where the dam used to be. Will be very interesting to see how this progresses. |

This intrigued me, the tree is in a busy little park in the centre of Cambridge.
The hole under the tree created by the roots has been bricked up. Fox, Badger or Goblins?  |
