Default Derby Stables

Here is a shot of a trainer cooling down one of the Kentucky Derby horses, not sure which one because they don't have their numbers on. I just thought it was cool to get to walk in the stables. I also loved the light that was/wasn't available in this corridor.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Really nice shot. The repetition on each side leads you to focus on the horse. I wonder if a little more detail and light on the handler's face would help or hurt.

Good composition here but I'd like to see more detail in the horse and the man's face. I like the grain in this.

I echo the idea of bringing out the subject's face a tad more - but not over powering the rest of the image. Exercise extreme caution.

Thanks guys - that was why i eded up with it dark, as i brought the lights up to the exerciser's face, it added way to much grain - perhaps I can do some selective editing - but where he is positioned, he is directly in the shadow of the horse. If I had staged this shot I would have told the horse to lift his head a bit, and put the trainer just in front - but so goes the guerrilla photography..
