We spent the day birding around the town of Anahuac, TX. today. Also went to the refuge. These are a few of the favorites from the day. I didn’t get to add any new birds to my list but did get to replace a couple of the weaker pictures in my collection. Still haven’t seen a painted Bunting L Enjoy

Fantastic! I'm enjoying going along the ride with you through your pics... looked up the bunting.. info I saw showed them further south into Mexico this time of year. I still hope you can get one... waiting with ya

I see why you put the hawk first. Thats my fav also. What an intense look he has. The green heron looks like a cartoon character! The hawk is the only bird of these I could ever get close to. The others if I even look at them they fly away - so I have to say again - Good job!
