Thankyou all for your comments.
I find this type of thing happens with many of the species, if you let their particular feeder run out while you are positioned to shoot. I'm not sure, but it appears to me, that they hang out close by to get the last bit of seed, rather than move too far away and miss out.
Perhaps an incorrect observation, yet I have my best success with yard birds AS the feeder/feeders run out(not after they run out).
Don't forget to fill them back up when you are done.

What a great capture worth waiting for.
I thought to myself this morning to get some shots of the 2 wild parrots near me, and sat for awhile because I could hear them, but got cold and gave up. ;~)
