Default Spider meal

I wonder how many spiders are devoured by birds. This eastern meadowlark was in my backyard and picked this one from deep in the grass.

Great shots Bill, really good low POV.
There are loads of spiders for them to eat. With a British meadow '1 acre of hay meadow may contain 2.25 million spiders. Each of these spiders will eat 2 insects a week for 6 months, which works out at about 108 million insects!'

Those are pretty amazing numbers when you think about it.
