Pretty bird, you could have used a little fill flash which would have brought out more detail on the head. You probably could adjust it some in ps.

I'll echo Padre, fill flash would bring out the "POP" of the head. Mallard drakes are mainly recognizable by their green (and bluish) irradecant heads. You may want to try to make the dominant characteristics "pop" when capturing birds.
Crisp photo though. I like the warm colors of the rocks. Is this in Oswego? |
