Default Bird eats bird

Taking awhile back. I thought I would share it.
A heron saw this dove fluttering on the ground and saw a easy meal.
Thanks for looking, Rick

Wow. I've been in Florida a long time and I've never seen that. In fact I've never seen a GBH eat any type of bird. Mostly fish, snakes and amphibians but never a bird.

Good catch for both of you. I've seen a heron catching worms during winter when times were tough and know they'll take chicks if given a chance.

These herons are opportunists will go for anything if they think they swallow it.
Thanks Hunter.
