Heron
Caught this one on Assateague Island NWR late last year. You bird experts can tell me exactly which type it is. I Think it is a great blue one.

Kim, yes, you are right. It's a Great Blue Heron. Pretty good capture too tho it seems overall a bit too bright on my monitor. Even though they are distracting I like the stepped 3D effect provided by the peek-A-boo branches in the foreground.
In case you haven't noticed we've got a 1,000 herons goal going in another forum thread and this shot would be a wonderful addition. Mark |
