I prefer the first picture as I prefer more natural anyway. But excellent retouching skills. I wouldn't know where to start.

The retouched one is nice because it is not overdone. The retouched one however looks softer. I recommend a book called: Skin, the complete guide to digitally lighting, photographing faces and bodies for a great tutorial on skin retouching that is not too onerous.
