So I've been working with photoshop for a few years now.
I was put in charge of graphics for the yearbook in high school. Now, its a constant thing, and I'm always working on something new. Now, what I'd like is to see your total transformation of picture! This would include altering more than one element ; background, hue, additional items, ect. I'll provide an example. By the way, this is my first post. :] I hope to get acquainted! __________________

Too bad your first post wasn't replied to at all.
Well, I didn't play with your original image (yet?) but, although I do think what you did with is great, the color cast of the whole thing could be improved. Just my opinion but it looks too yellow-greenish overall. Below on the right is my color fixed version side by side with yours on the left. I also flipped it horizontally just for fun. |

Don't get me wrong, I like photo shop and I think it is a great tool. But for me there is a difference between reality and actuality. The after part of the image is great, well done. But in reality that really didn't happen. As a graphic designer great. For a yearbook no. The year book is suppose to be about the memories and what actaully happened. If we start changing that with graphics images where is the realism of those memories. JMO..

Yes, I can read, Inked. Even though you are, I still am not certain whether
that has anything to do with this TOTAL TRANSFORMATION idea. Although it is hardly worth debating, that sentence seemed to be more about Sammy's history to me but, as I said, I am uncertain, unlike you, apparently. There are so many badly or hastily written sentences and paragraphs on the internet it must be really handy to be able to be absolutely certain what people mean. As a result of your certainty that this particular photo manipulation is destined for a yearbook, I was incorrect in thinking that only Sammy could clarify that. You can and have done it for him/her. Thanks. Good job. Sammy, by the way, in order to play with pictures in PS it is really helpful if you give us or link us to a larger version. A 400 pixels wide piece is very difficult to do much of any quality with. Well, for me it is, anyway... |

Oh please, let me clarify. No need to get defensive.
I am female. This was not for a yearbook. I would have never faked a picture for a yearbook. Tweak them yes, make the quality better yes. This was an independent project I did for fun. I provided this as an example of my past work. (and I've noticed I tend to make them a bit yellow, as I like the earthy/old look )I would really like to see someone else's photoshoped images, the original and manipulated. And thanks for the advice, both of you. ![]() |

Thanks for the clarification, Sammy.
I tried playing around with the original image for a while yesterday but didn't like the way it was turning out. The image is pretty small. I might try it again though. You might be interested in checking out the Speed Challenges if you haven't already. They're all about this same idea that you are interested in. Speed Challenges - PhotoCamel - Your Friendly Photo Community I'm pretty new here but it seems that in the speed challenge one person posts a picture (either their own or a stock photo ) andthen several people use it to make something new. Then the original poster chooses which he/she liked best and then the person that created the winning image gets to start the next challenge with their own choice of image. |

Ok, Sammy, although I'm not really happy with it I did do this today...
