This is a photo I took for some senior pictures. Any suggestions as to how to edit it? I'd love it if you guys would even show me examples. Thanks!

i would start witha tighter crop (maybe loose some of the foreground) and a little sharpening (aty leasdt on the face and eyes). i ilke your use of the background!

I would like to see more background to the right of the image, making her look into the frame, not out of. But here's my rendition.

i agree with unkl buck (nice crop, BTW), that a little breathing room on the R would help as well.

This is a challenge. The colors are a bit off, the focus point doesn't seem to be her face, probably would've been better if this was shot landscape, but you knew all that already. So what can you do with it to "save" it?

What I did was extend the canvas on the right, cloned it "over", cropped it, blurred the background, tried to correct the skin color (but this small low res version wasn't too much help).

HI I had a try at this I have cropped it and increased the red and yellow ,to try and make it look as if it was shot more towards sunset.

How about making it a polaroid grabshot (and in the meantime applying a velvia correction to the greens, levelling the image and make a glamour look while burning in at several spots)?:

OK here i go with my submission.
make a copy and flip it 180° and move it to align up with the original image.
Clone all the vertical seams that you can see. i then straighten the image so she was not leaning forward and i sharpened and played with the lighting a bit. This took about 10-15 Min's
Remember when shooting to apply the rule of thirds when you can. This will give a better image.

I cropped it, adjusted skin tones, and added some "glamour" effects.

Though this is already a long time ago, I just want to contribute what I can share.

Just joined and I saw this and I just had to try some stuff, I blured the background and adjusted the tones warmer played with the brightness and contrast a bit.
