Assignment: Architecture and tilings
In this assignment, you have to show us a building with some nice tilings.
The tilings can be in a plane, a cricle, or in a strip. In a plane they are called wallpaper groups and there are exactly 17 different types. In a strip they are called frieze groups. |In this case there are 7 basic variations In a circle they are called rosetta groups, there are 12 different tilings possible. Lets see if we can fill up each category, you can draw these tilings here, but offcourse we need a real photo, like in this pdf file. __________________
