Hi folks,
For Mothers Day today, we went to Brighton beach in Adelaide. I managed to squeeze off a few shots including a quick pano. Not sure if this should be in here or in landscapes. Anyway, C&C away. Thanks for looking, G #1 ![]() #2 ![]() #3 ![]() #4 ![]() __________________

Thanks for the comments. I also thought I would post a final one, the BIG pano!
It has a couple of issues with the conversion on the right hand side I think as a result of being a little overly ambitious with the scope of the picture and the lens used (Sigma 10-20mm). The bulgy bit on the right is correct. I was standing on the edge of the bulgy bit on the other side. However some of the rails on the right didn't quite align correctly. Anyway, I still sort of liked it and thought is was worth posting. C&C away! G ![]() |

I particularly like the shot from underneath. The pano is pretty cool but the sky coloration changes across the sky is off.

Thanks for the comments. I agree with regards to the sky in the pano. I'm still pretty new to doing these. Does anybody have any tips on the best way to fix this? How about cloning some sky from another area?
Any takers? Thanks, G |

I like the shot of the underneath of the jetty best. Its a great perspective of the jetty.
I have just attended a weekend workshop by a well known West Australian Landscape photographer. For panoramic shots he uses a f1.4 50mm lens in portrait mode and a pano head for his camera. He told us he doesn't use a wide angle for the very reason that you have experienced. His name is Christian Fltecher. All the images shown on the link are panoramics from as many as 36 photos stitched together. |

By the way, you can get a pano head for your tripod at Nodal Ninja for about $389 AUD. This one was being used by a few of the people at the workshop. It lists an Australian agent you can order from. The model was the Nodal Ninja 3sMII

1 and 3 are excellent. Good subject, well composed & well shot. I think the CP filter is maybe a bit overdone in 4 and the pano, though.
