Ok all,
so to expand on this, on Friday the 1st Feb at 8pm US Pacific, Scott Hargis and I will be online for a live interview and then there will be an open question session at the end for members to ask questions about aspects of his photography. In the initial portion of the interview, I will ask Scott various questions and he will post responses and several of his images will be used to demonstrate different points. So the interview will contain both background information on how Scott became and developed as a photographer, as well as information on his technique with pointers to help others achieve stunning interior photographs. All up, the interview should last around 45 minutes and in that time it will cover quite a bit of ground. This is a first for us on the camel and I hope many of you will be online to watch the thread develop and then ask questions. Those of you who are regular readers of The Strobist may already be aware of Scott's work, but this is a rare opportunity to find out a lot more about his style and how to go about achieving similar results yourself. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, please feel free to post them here. I will be posting additional information over the next two weeks explaining in more detail how it will work, but I'm hoping that this much so far has wet your appetite. Regards, Peter |

Yep, John's hit it on the head already.
The thread will be available as a long term resource to help anyone out who wants the information in the future. Also, if you look at various times in other parts of the World, there will be people in Western Europe who might not get up early for the live event, but they will still be able to get the information. The specific times are: 1. US Pacific: 8pm 2. US Central: 10pm 3. US Eastern: 11pm 4. UK (GMT): 4am (Saturday) 5. Western Europe: 5am (Saturday) 6. Eastern Europe: 6am (Saturday) 7. Asia (Baghdad): 7am (Saturday) 8. Asia (Singapore): 12pm (Saturday) 9. Asia (Tokyo): 1pm (Saturday) 10. Australia (Western): 1pm (Saturday) 11. Australia (Eastern): 3pm (Saturday) 12. New Zealand: 5pm (Saturday) So the UK and Western Europe members will either have to be up early, or they can catch everything afterwards. Regards, Peter |

Just a heads-up for those who (if like me) often forget the little things - like what time it starts..
There is an event in the PhotoCamel calendar for this. You can view it and set an email reminder so that you don't forget .http://photocamel.com/forum/calendar...8-2-2&e=11&c=1 |

As a member of the photocamel (and welcome aboard) there's no need to do anything more. You will have full access to everything and now that you are signed up, you'll also be able to ask a question in the open question time at the end if you wish. I'll post more on this over the coming week to explain exactly how to follow the interview, but by signing up, you are all set. Regards, Peter |

it sounds very interesting to me! I like interior photography (I never shoot anything serious myself but for sure on top of appreciating nice interiors, I always admire and respect the work done by the photographer to capture the beauty) and I don't mind at all to learn from a specialist!
Again happy new year to All. I really enjoy the time I spend on this excellent forum and I thank you all for making this place as it is. Laurent |

This is exciting and very timely for me. I have just been asked to photograph the interior of a house for a local real estate company to be included in the Premier Living magazine. I can't wait. Let's move up the interview and do it today!!

Sounds like it will be perfectly timed and I hope you pick up on some things that make your upcoming shoot go nice and smooth. Glad to see there will be some immediate benefit and I hope you get around to posting some of your images on the forum afterwards as well. Regards, Peter |

No, this is not a full time assignment. I retired from the State Patrol eight years ago. I must have been a bad employee (wink, wink), they used to pay me to come to work, now they pay me to stay home!
Now I have a small photography business where I do senior pictures, families, sports, business head shots, real estate, and 3 weddings so far. How about you? Full time? Part time? Avid amateur? |
