Top o' the day to you! This is my attempt to photograph an interior of a home using the basic techniques I currently know. I am looking forward to the interview on Friday, Feb 1, 2008 with Scott Hargis to improve my results.
I was really amazed at how much thought and effort this simple shot took. __________________

Harry, I think it looks good except that it's kinda flat looking... and there's a funny shadow on the top left side...
*but I am no expert* don't even claim to have any knowledge of this sort of thing! Just giving my two cents. |

The "shadow" is a product of the conversion to GIF to post it here. It does not appear in the original photograph. I have uploaded it to : Harry Brink : photos : Interiors- powered by SmugMug
Take a peek there. |

I'm no expert on this type of shot, but I think I like the version you have on SmugMug the best. The last one is good too, but the bright parts of the wall look awful close to being blown out.
You probably already know this or have already figured it out, but the reason for the banding in the first one is because GIF images support a maximum of 256 different colors as compared to the 16 million supported by JPEGs. It is a format better suited for buttons and other stuff that doesn't require a wide range of colors. |

nice first try for sure....use a polarizer to cut those reflections on the countertops ... also bring some props to liven up the place a bit....
