The fact that it takes place on a Friday night (at 11pm ET) means i wont be able to read it till about 18hrs later.

Try to ask as many questions possible and get good answers. Will we be able to ask questions after the interview (and get back answers)?

Thanks in advance.

Kosher,

If there are any questions in particular that you would like addressed, either post them here or send me a pm and include them.

Over this weekend I'll be outlining the general issues in the interview and explaining how it will work and how people will be able to ask questions themselves, but since you won't be online, please feel free to let me know and I'll see if there is something I haven't covered.

Regards,

Peter

OK everyone,

If you are waiting for this interview then I hope the following information is useful.

I've started a new thread to conduct the interview and stickied it in the forum.

The thread is currently closed, however Scott and I will be able to post to it during the interview.

Towards the end of the interview it will be opened for general questions, which will be submitted to a moderated queue and then posted one at a time.

More on how to watch the thread will be posted over the next couple of days.

Regards,

Peter

Hi everyone,

If you are visitng from over at The Strobist where Dave Hobby was very kind enough to give us a mention, then welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy it here.

We are looking forward to this interview tonight and it will be packed with useful information on interior photography, from lighting, to focus and depth of field, lighting large spaces for events to post processing and workflow.

So please stick around tonight, 8pm US Pacific time.

The interview will run in this thread and the thread will initially be closed to other posters so that Scott and I can run through a series of questions and answers in order.

After that, the thread will be opened up and questions will be possible from members.

Regards,

Peter

is the interview only on thread or is it live by audio ? I'd be interest to ear it.

so, is the thread the only place to read the interview or do you plan to put it on podcast (if the interview is live by audio) ?

thanks

This one is only setup to be contained within the thread. There won't be any audio, but there'll be plenty of pictures to show as examples of what's being discussed.

The entire thread will be here and will be available at any time to review.

Ideally a video podcast would be the best, but it's a one step at a time process and we are starting with this one as a thread based interview.

Regards,

Peter

New to the forum, over from Strobist where I read about the interview with Scott Hargis. He does amazing work, the interivew is timely for me. I have been hired to shoot an interior remodel for a local contractor so he can post images on his website to showcase his work...and showcase my work you might say also.

Looking forward to the interiew, I have shared a few emails with Scott. He is very helpful.

From strobist here as well, I am just getting into off camera flash, and this would probably be a lot of help.

Had this marked on my calendar..can't wait! I'm fairly new at photography, but have done one wedding and some portrait shots in my basement studio. Getting alot of inquiries from family and friends to do portraits and booked for another wedding in the fall. Anxious to learn all I can, especially about lighting. Thanks for this very informative site!

New member here from the Photography For Real Estate group (and strobist) on Flickr and the Photography For Real Estate blog Photographyforrealestate.net where Scott has links to a few very good tutorials that he did on interior lighting with small strobes.

I'm Looking forward to the interview, Scott is well known in the real estate photography community; I've learned quite a bit from looking at his working and listening to his constructive critiques of my shots. Couldn't get a person more committed to helping others learn than Scott.

Peter, Thanks for setting this up!
