Great photo, but the B/W version has a more dramatic/regal impression for me. Between () the proper way of writing is Vredespaleis. |

When the building was first designed after the first Hague Conference, a much larger building was originally planned (and this one is huge). The designer scaled the design back, but some of the original design seems to have been kept and the tower looks significantly bigger than the rest of the building. Regards, Peter |
