These are great additions to the collection. You did a wonderful job on these. It is sad in a way though that a lot of these old barns are forgotten. That used to be the first building built out here in the Dakotas.

Thanks again for these great posts and I know you are going to get a lot of great comments on these,

Dakota

Thanks Dakota. The old barns around here are getting neglected and starting to fall down. Either that or someone tears the barns down and put houses in it's place.

Hi John, Nice set of photo's, thanks for posting. It looks like you had your hands full with trees around the subject in 1 & 4, although not so bad in #4 as that branch on the left is a good lead in line to the apex of the barn roof.

Pics 2 & 3 are better (IMO), with #3 being my favourite. The sky is better and the foreground doesn't detract from the subject so much in this one.

Well done, enjoy your photography and please keep posting!!

Arkansas represented nicely!! I like these , and its great getting to view these barns thru out the states and even England!

I like your composition on #1.. all the browns and greens make this a real Eye Pleaser.. nice effect with the fence... I just have the feel of walking up that lane to the barn..

#3.. color and texture selling this one , plus unique style of barn! The two I mention are my favs, but the other two are also very nice!

Very nice shots with my faves being 2 and 3. I like 4 as well with the trees but the face of the barn isn't exposed as good as number 3. One is ok, not sure i like the angle as much. so, if I had to choose one, it would be number 3 for me. WEll done on all!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Looking forward to seeing more barns posted.

Tom, you have some very nice shooting locations in Vermont. Really enjoy viewing your Autumn pics on Zenfolio. Stunning photo's in each gallery.

Being from Arkansas, I have seen several old barns
that were beautiful. My mother and father use to drive
around and take pictures of old barns with her Kodak 110. LOL

I LOVE the #1 picture!!

I have actually seen the #2 picture, but I don't recall where it is.

Steve
