I think we'll be seeing more of your friends home on the cooking show later!

Nice home and very nice photos of it.

Thanks Worm and Naturalist. This is the first time I have used the Expodisc for white balance. I have such a hard time with WB.. We did get a response from the cooking show which basically said they were impressed with the layout of the home and that they would be in contact.

You did a very nice job on the exposures. when taking architectural shots the devil is in the details. A couple suggestions and I will relate them to number 1.

Upper right is a space with no light. I would have turned on some type of light or re angles my shot. Also, there is a door open that takes away from the image. I would have closed that door. These seem small but are quite important. Not a criticism by any stretch. When you look at them again they will stand out as missed details. How do I know? I made the same mistakes years ago.

Your sharpness and WB are spectacular. Each shot is crisp. Overall a very nice job.

You and my neighbor! He made the exact observations. We found out after I shot the 1st view that the light bulb was out. He changed it but I never went back and did that view. We had that kitchen door open to try and show the entrance to the 2nd kitchen but didn't light it, duh... I do have a shot of the 2nd kitchen with the entrance lit looking East to West. Anyway TMI , I really appreciate the comments and also from DC, Worm, and Naturalist.

Your images are on the money as far as your attention to WB and crispness of edges. Nice job. It's just the details. It comes to mind that that is what photography is about. After 46 years, I almost forgot.
I give you an 8 out of 10 as far as knowledge of camera menu function. Very acceptable.

If I might suggest... A long exposure with a small aperature using rear curtain flash might bring the levels closer to that 4 stop range... I think they are great as is.

side note:
I have worked on many cooking shows, including stuff with Emeril Lagasse and Paul Prudhomme (K paul's)... Make sure you friend requires that they show proof of insurance and hopefully they are offering some payment for "location" These photos could become a record, if things get damaged... TV people suck when it comes to consideration of others and their homes... I know...cause I am one.

Cheers!
Jeff
