Nice shot. The drama in the sky has made it more interesting.

Can't say as how I recall seeing a church painted this color yellow, but I have seen some peach-colored stucco ones and even attended one for about twenty years. It is still being used as a church but another congregation is now using it.

Also it looks like the paint was originally white but has yellowed with age, which the water has emphasized. In any case, the presumably dry paint (i.e., not damp with water as most of the building is) still present shows white around the main entrance.

Nice shot - love the sky - can you tell me where it is? (I'm thinking of taking the back roads through ND on my way to Montana later this year and would love to have a go at it myself.)

sorry, i don't have an exact location anymore. i know i went from jamestown to minot to williston on the main highway that day. i took a few back roads to see a few churches. there are a ton of old, abandoned churches in north dakota. this church is tough to shoot because there are power lines and a utility pole very close to the church. google ghost towns in north dakota, there's a website that's documented a lot of abandoned buildings in the state. i used that site for much of my research.
