In our small town, the kids are a big part of the local 4th of July Parade.
The PhotoCamel decided to join in on the fun.

Here he is waving an American Flag during his ride in the parade.

And here with his guardian for the parade, my daughter.

Well folks, it's official. The PhotoCamel is a superstar.
He got his photo in the local paper, and I didn't submit it.

During the 4th of July Parade, there is a photo contest. A little girl happened to take a photo of my Daughter and her friend, and the PhotoCamel. She submitted that photo and won first prize for her age group.

My little buddy really wanted to ride the innertube today, but he got mad at me when I wouldn't let him.
I don't have a life jacket to fit him.

He got over it when I let him drive the boat.

Yesterday, we took a ride out to the Marin Headlands.

Yup, that's the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
Although it's not really golden. It's International orange, also known as Orange Vermillion.
Architect Irving Morrow chose the color because it blends with the bridge's setting (supposedly).

I went to a BBQ this past weekend where the Photo Camel met a fellow Photocamel member by the name of Dwight McCann.

It was getting late, and my wife had told me that we needed to get going.
Luckily for me, we were playing around with a Strobist style demo and the lights were still set up.

A wonderful time was had by all.
