Default Concert Shots

For Jay.
Saturday night featured the greatest guitar player in the world. Just my humble opinion.
Enjoy.

Hey, Jeff! Great to see these photos. Thanks.

The young lady sitting behind you told me after the show that the shots you were taking looked like they could go on an album cover.

Do post more.

I'm definitely going to start toting my camera to some of these shows.

BTW, how was the second show? I was a bit disappointed that I didn't hear any of the older material.

Did not stay for the 2nd show. Given the release of the new CD, it was not going to be a retrospective show. Only 1 tune from Casino was played, but it sure was played well.

Very cool stuff. What ISO were you using for these shots? I assume you had an f/2.8 IS lens? Looked like a Canon lens, but it couldn't have been, right?

I set both cameras for ISO 800. Both lenses were 2.8 as you can tell by the narow depth of field. Cameras were Konica Minota 7D's. The 70-200 2.8 SSM was a Konica Monilta lens and the 18-50 2.8 was a Sigma. I probably should have attempted ISO 1600 to get more shutter speed but live and learn.
Check out the wldlife stuff on my gallery.

Will do. I was thinking to myself that that venue was definitely an ISO 1600 place. The newer Canons can fare pretty well w/ ISO 1600, although I rarely use it. Thanks for the info.
