I wasn't sure were to post this so I hope it fits. The ball she is holding is a flash and this was shot for a 3D image.

The idea is neat, but for me the composition would be much better if she were on our right hand side of the frame. Unless you intend to add text to the right side? Also a little bit of headroom would be nice.
The light falling on her face is pretty unflattering. Perhaps you could add another light for her specifically or experiment with the positioning of the crystal ball so that the light hits her better. |

This was shot for a 3D image and when you view the 3D image you see the depth behind her and she is at what is called the stereo window but to move her to the right would move her back in the window. This was never intended to be a beauty shoot it was meant to convey a living in the woods wild look so we were not looking for flattering light.
I am attaching the 3D image you will need red/cyan glasses to view it. |

Bummer - I wish I had a set of those glasses.
3D Photography is a genre of it's own, but we don't have a specific forum for, I am going to put this into "All Other Styles" for you. ![]() |

In 3D there's LOT of "mood" in your dark background. I LIKE it!
I'm a 3D newbie having a new 42" passive Panasonic LCD and a Panny 3d1 compact 3D shooting camera for just a few days. Not huge activity in DPReview's 3d / Stereo forum so I thought I'd look here. For years I've been fascinated by 3D imaging, but never had the budget or time for it. Retired now and slow on the go so what normally would have been spent on gas is going toward new toys which with the help of IMAX 3D Blu-rays will be my new armchair "travel" experience. Like anything new it's a bit of FUN and frustration. Got some really cool 3D footage of a mob of hummers coming to my feeders. Did a sort of successful edit of the best. Only problem is it came out of the editor at 720x480 and not the 1920x1080 like camera originals. Still it looks impressive. This tiny 3D1 Panasonic camera has opened a whole new world of recording captivating scenes that can be explored in a way completely different from 2D. You GOTTA see it to appreciate it. Come over to my place and I can show you hummers coming out of the screen and flying in the middle of my living room! AMAZING! Mark __________________
