Amazingly, it was discovered at the bottom of my garden. Quite a way from New York, but I guess that makes it all the more exclusive. Also captured here was a rare sighting of the notorious 'PoohSlayer'. Witness the mortally wounded Winnie the Pooh bottom-left, cast aside after a futile attempt to raid the hideout. Note to other bears - it's bees that make honey, not spiders.
![]() At great risk to this reporter, I was also able to get a close-up shot of the 'slayer in his natural habitat. Exclusive rights to these images are available - please contact me via PM. ![]() __________________

Love the story. Nevertheless, contrary to the caption, it looks from the second shot like the infamous PoohSlayer is now safely captured.
Also looks like the depth of field is paper thin and the PoohSlayer's forehead and chin are outside it. The blur wouldn't be so noticeable if it weren't for the mesh. |

Very true scoundrel, but I only had seconds to grab the shot due to the perilous nature of the assignment
.Of course, it could also be explained by the AF locking on to the mesh rather than the subject behind the mesh. I do have another shot where the face is in focus, but it then throws the mesh out of focus and loses the feeling of being behind something . |

This is what happens when you are on a sugar high. Great captures.

Thanks for the comments, all. These shots were taken with the 85L f/1.2 (first shot was at f/1.2 and the other at f/1.4). I'm impressed with the colour rendition of this lens. I've been fighting a little bit with other Canon lenses to retain the captured colour (my Olympus setup manages this better most of the time) but this lens is very accurate, particularly if you dial down the exposure a little bit, though these shots have 0 EV compensation. I also find that Silkypix gives the more accurate RAW conversion, though in the end any converter should be able to produce the same tonality (I just really like Silkypix for all my conversions regardless of camera brand).
