Lovely color scheme, interesting how the bubble plays as sort of a counterweight to the yellow area. I was experimenting a bit with simplifying your composition - something I always do just for the sake of learning what effect the components have for me. What I came up with is a crop just right of the bubble, then a 90°CCW rotation and a horizontal flip. The result gets a more intense response from me. It gets that feeling of a low flyby over a distant planet...
![]() I do like the bubble, but somehow, the curves and the smooth gradients are well worth the simplification. They work on their own very well. When I try to figure out why I have the urge to get rid of the bubble, then I come to the conclusion that the bubble is compositionally placed in a area that neither fit the curves nor the color bands. What it loses if you crop is the tension, that very effect that disturbs me, that takes out the harmony... if you don't want harmony, then the bubble might be the right thing. cheers ® |

![]() The imperfections are part of the glass, and I don't really feel the need to clone them out--just my preference...but I really appreciate the comments--they make me think.... ![]() Here's another one.... __________________
