Zach,
Colour much better, the nice soft subtle colours and grainy impact is lost in B&W and comes out a bit weak. I think a tighter crop at the bottom would be pleasing. ![]() __________________

Thank you for your insight, MrFFS Flash2Bang and D.Rodgers,
I actually have a series of Orchid photo's at different angles, DOF and crops. Most of them are off center on purpose.....you know, breaking the rules as with the grain. However, I learned from this experiment that it is better to center the object while shooting since I can crop as I wish after the fact...... Basically I was breaking the rules and also thought they would be nice for a desktop photo in which the non image area would be a nice place to arrange the icons....easy to locate.
