Default Engraving

Took a snapshot of my Grandkids & converted it to an engraving on some scrap high density foam. Just got the laser engraver and I'm like a kid on Christmas morning.

Would make for some homey accents if you could do something like this to ceramic wall tiles and use them to replace a few existing ones in the kitchen.

Actually it can do ceramic tile, marble, acrylic, plastic (not PVC because it emits chorine gas under heat), many types of metal, etc.

Pretty cool looking end result. Not sure what engraver you got or how it works.

It's for the sign business so it had to be big enough to handle commercial work. The perk is I get to make stuff for myself too.

Tonight I burned a photo of an old unit along side the road on Rt 66. It's in the Petrified Forest National Park, AZ. The only stretch of Rt 66 that passes through a national Park.

I did a little photoshop work to correct a couple things I didn't like with the first Rt 66 shot. I added a woodgrain background since it was taken at the Petrified Forest National Park. Then I got the idea to set up files for the edges. My first 5 sided engraving job, high density foam. This laser is the best thing since sliced bread.
