Since joining recently I've given plenty of (hopefully good) advice, but haven't posted a shot of my own work.
That's been because while I live in Europe, I am currently in the US and most of my photos are back at home. However I had a couple of my smoke shots that have been reduced in size, so I've decided to post them and I'll up the size when I get home in a week. As a former firefighter, I've always loved the shapes that smoke makes, so that got me into photographing smoke from incense sticks. I hope these live up to the standard of work on the site. Thanks for the comments.
In relation to lighting etc., it's so simple to do this. If you can wait a few days, then when I arrive back home (currently in Terre Haute, IN) on Friday, I'll post a few shots of the setup and some info on post processing. Regards, Peter |

Beautiful work Peter.
I especially like the pink (inverted) one! The framing on the blue toned one is also quite lovely.I have a set of images very similar to these. I didn't play around much with them though - should have done some pretty framing like you did. |

Well done Peter I really like the pink one better. How was it done. Explain please.

Thanks for the nice comments. In relation to explaining, I'll explain it through pictures on Friday. I'll show the setup (very simple), camera settings and post processing (even simpler). Regards, Peter __________________
