Romantic Valentines

Hi , this is one of the genres i have not done , dont even know if it is in the right section , anyway After a very nice meal and relaxing Valentines evening with my Wife i thought i would try something different to my normal photographic preferences and set this up took about 50 images moving things around and this is the best i could pull out

Any pointers on lighting , settings etc most welcome as i actually found it quite relaxing trying to compose this . Thanks for looking

Its a very lovely sentimental image. I would be tempted to experiment with this. Maybe placing a large softbox above and slightly behind and just slipping a touch of illumination onto the scene, then dragging the shutter speed just enough to pick up the flame, without having the candle actually lighting the scene. You have a lot of great stuff to work with here and I think the possibilities are many. I may have also tinkered with the white balance just to see what happens.

Using candle light is cool. just have to set the white balance to daylight, place the camera on a tripod, set the camera to aperture priority and select the DOF you want to have...then shoot.
